What would life be without its challenges, hurdles & unfortunately, its absolute bastards.
In this case, bastard energy companies.
We have to let you know that we are in the middle of an absolute nightmare, our electricity supply has been, in our opinion, illegally shut off, without notice, without any communication to let us know and argue our case. I won’t go much further into that, for obvious reasons. But it has been shut off.
In all honesty, there is a bigger threat of us closing forever now than we have ever had, even from Covid. There is nothing we can do to get the power back on without taking legal action, so that is what we’re doing; but it is expensive and we can only go so far with our limited budget.
But we hope the fact we are right on this will mean we will get to a solution and get our pub back open and secure for the future. We would never go down without a fight!
We have asked you for help before & we almost don’t want to do so again, but we have to.
How can you help?
Come and support us in our temporary venue! - we are trying hard to move all our gigs & operations to a temporary venue, very generously offered to us by our landlord! This is the old Brewdog bar on Zetland Street!
We hope to get the kitchen going tomorrow or for the weekend; we’ve moved a venue over in half a day and we have already ran our first gig last night in our temporary home. It feels like Parïsh already!!
You can help us by getting on Google, giving us a review, or Tripadvisor, or anything where you can review us. All this will help when it comes to stating our case that we need to be here, in Huddersfield, providing live music, food & booze for the people of Huddersfield.
Contact our MP, anyone you know in the council, and let them know how losing us to Huddersfield’s scene would affect you and why you need them to help us.
Most importantly though, come see us & come have fun with us in Parïsh Temp. Because we need to keep the tills ringing & our staff working!
