The Silver Lines began as two pairs of musicians who came together after going through personal hardships. Brothers Dan and Joe were trying to form a band during their time at Manchester University, writing songs and recording demos. Their uncle, who was a former musician and therefore served as a great influence and mentor to them, sadly passed away during this time. He left them with a guitar and a few amps, which Joe still plays live to this day. As university was drawing to a close for them
