Welly @ Parish Dive Bar
Saturday 30 November 2024
Welly is one of the most exciting new acts in ages (Dork Magazine). Crashing together the best bits of escapist pop, indie-disco, punk and DIY electronics, the group—made up of Welly and his school-mates—show early ambition to reconnect the great, grassroots British tradition with the mainstream band. First single, Shopping, for instance, was a riotous love-letter to the UK high street, as compelled by the arch, art-rock of Pulp as the left-field bangers of Girls Aloud.
The Silver Lines @ Parish Dive Bar
Wednesday 04 December 2024
The Silver Lines began as two pairs of musicians who came together after going through personal hardships. Brothers Dan and Joe were trying to form a band during their time at Manchester University, writing songs and recording demos. Their uncle, who was a former musician and therefore served as a great influence and mentor to them, sadly passed away during this time. He left them with a guitar and a few amps, which Joe still plays live to this day. As university was drawing to a close for them

KEG @ Parish Dive Bar
Monday 27 January 2025
Erupting from a frenzied passion for the ‘song’, Keg toe a fine line between the angular throb of contemporary post-rock sensibilities and a timeless necessity for harmony and meticulous songwriting. Taking hints and tips from their forebears Minutemen, Fugazi and Radio 4 the band intend to confound genre, but mainly stick to the rock arena. Armed with 7 musicians, Keg creates a frantic chaotic energy. Barbed guitars, wonky synth lines, peppered with trombone, and a glimpse into a confused man’

Cut Glass Kings @ Parish Dive Bar
Saturday 15 February 2025
Cut Class Kings knowingly or unknowingly continue that Midlands bloodline, updating it. Take ‘Fever Dreamin’’ for example – think Tame Impala if they’d grown up in Birmingham biker bars, or a Black Country Allah-Las. Whoever they’re compared to, be it the obvious power duos like Black Keys, White Stripes, or the American fuzz-punks – Cut Glass Kings are powered by a definitively British engine, more T-Rex than T-Bone Walker.
The Doors Rising
Friday 21 February 2025
The Band came into being in 2017 when lifelong Doors fans, Stuart (Vocals) and Martyn (Guitar) responded to an ad placed by founding keyboardist Freddie with the idea of starting a Doors Tribute. Stuart and Martyn took the idea forward and over the years the band has seen some amazing notable talent in Laurence, Wayne, Carl, Jimmy, Eve, Adrian, Joel and Adam. Gigs started in Southport where the band soon grew a loyal following who knew how to enjoy the psychedelic 60s. The reputation soon spr

A more mystical sum of talents than most groups ever manage. House Of All Souls is somewhat more psychedelic than its predecessors, and despite se
Solstice
Saturday 12 April 2025
Solstice, a band harking back to 1980, have enjoyed a massive resurgence over the last 4 years. Originally sitting alongside neo-progressive greats such as Marillion, IQ, Pendragon and Twelfth Night, they set themselves apart from all others with the inclusion of electric violin and strings, a folky feel without being ‘folk’, something that they have stuck with throughout their musical career. They fall smack bang in the middle of the musical Venn diagram of prog-rock, folk, neo-prog, acoustic
